Purpose:
The fourth annual Snapshot Day was held on May 22, 2004 in the Lake Tahoe and Truckee River watersheds. More than 240 committed citizen-volunteers, working closely with many water quality management agencies, participated in gathering water quality information in the form of visual assessments, photos, and water quality data at 119 locations (compared to 100 volunteers at 44 locations in 2001, 313 volunteers at 112 locations in 2002, and 250 volunteers at 125 locations in 2003).
