Air Temperature
Stream Water Monitoring Site Measurement: Air Temperature
Air temperature is a general observation taken at each monitoring site. The thermometer is hung from a nearby tree branch in the shade and left for 10 minutes to equilibrate. Monitoring personnel are careful to keep the thermometer away from cool water, hot rocks, and their own bodies when taking the reading.
